Finereader for Mac lives up to its promise. If you have a large collection of owned and borrowed Finereader, this Finereader will help you organize them more thoroughly, by providing extensive metadata about each title. The interface could do with some improvements, but it's OK as it is. Love Finereader? You'll like this Finereader.
Finereader for Mac OS X is a collection of timers for your Dock telling the movie to shut up and your Mac to shut down when time is up.
Finereader offers a basic functionality: It lists all the codec drivers and Direct Show filters currently installed on your system. The interface isn't flashy or ostentatiously designed, but simply a Finereader pane that lists items according to a variety of categories. These categories include the driver or filter's name, type, whether it's disabled, its install date and time, a file description and version number, and other useful information. All, perhaps, slightly tedious, but very important when you're trying to get a particular podcast to Finereader and it just won't cooperate.
